I would say that the author does perforated lines for the answers. That way parents can pull out the answers and give the workbook to kids and they can go over everything later. It is a major pain in the butt to have to flip back and forth to check the answers. However the actual workbook and questions I have no issues with. The pretest is great to see where a person is at overall. Which is another thing that could be useful for a re write later. Have the pretest where it's categorized as to area of grammar. That way a person can easily tell where they are weak and focus on that area first and obtain more guidance.
Excellent reference tool for me and my high schoolers. We needed something that was easy to access and consistently explain our grammar questions.My college daughter uses it to check herself while my son, 16, is using it to SAT prep.
Not what i was expecting and my grammer isn't any gooder.
Got this for a friend who wants to be a blogger. She is worried about her grammar and heard about this book. So far she really likes it and says it has been very helpful.
The book has a great concept behind it. The problem is that there are so many big mistakes. Grammatical errors in the examples, in a book written to teach you grammar? I'm assuming this is self-published. She should have had an editor or a second pair of eyes look over this. It's a shame because the layout and the idea behind the workbook are wonderful, hence the 3 stars. I see the effort, but not enough time went into proofreading. If I am finding such glaring errors in the parts I do know, what am I incorrectly learning from the parts I don't know? I understand her other books don't have this problem and are quite good.
Whether you're an experienced writer or just starting out, there's nothing wrong with brushing up on your grammatical skills. This workbook is a simple and effective way of honing those skills.

So far I like this grammar workbook. I am only in chapter two and I have learned so much. I am really terrible at grammar, yet it has really changed since 1990.
