One word... AMAZING! This cookbook is amazing! I ordered it after seeing it on a show and hearing Devin's inspirational weight loss story. I am hooked! I have already lost 8 lbs and what's best is the food is so delicious, I don't feel like I am dieting (and my family is happy about that, LOL) Clear cut, easy to follow directions with food I know. It also doesn't break the bank. Order it! You will NOT be disappointed.

Devin has done it again!! Absolutely love all her cookbooks and can tell I am going to love this one also! So many great recipes that look so delicious. Also love how she included the “dressings, sauces, dips and toppings” section and “the basics” it really helps with make sure you get the recipe exact!! If you have diabetes or not this cookbook is a must!

What I like the most is the recipes are easy to follow with pictures. What I don’t like is some of the ingredients such as watercress aren’t sold at the local grocery store. Trying to figure out what I can substitute.Update on this review: while I’ve been able to find most of the ingredients some cost too much to make it worthwhile. Ex: xanthan gum. If I spend $12 on xanthan gum the meal should be the best thing ever but it’s not.

I didn't like this cookbook despite high reviews because it uses a lot of special ingredients. I wish cookbooks could make shopping for ingredients realistic. I've been cooking for my family for a long time and I didn't recognize many of the ingredients. I also would have appreciated more pictures. I like to see the dish that I am making. I just finished making a new recipe from Ree Drummond that was featured as a diabetic dish with lots of protein and veggies. I had everything I needed on hand and a picture of what the dish would look like. Probably why her recipes are so popular.

Preparation and cooking were very time consuming and didn’t care for the taste of the foods

Devin’s recipes are easy to follow, healthy, and full of flavor. She uses a lot of fresh ingredients that are flavorful so the dishes aren’t bland. I own most of her cookbooks and this one did not disappoint.

Well written. The recipes looked great but the carb value too high. Returned it.

Very nice book for diabetic and regular people, has some nice recipes for both people. Friend could not put the book down after it arrived.
