It may be called 'I Hate Fairyland' but I absolutely LOVE IT!! I came across Scottie Young due to the Wizard of Oz, 6 book series he did. When I came across the first I Hate Fairyland book at the local comic shop I recognized his style immediately and had to buy the comic (after looking briefly through it.) It's unbelievably hilarious and dark, which runs right up my alley. I can't​ possibly write a decent review that would do this book justice. All I can say is I LOVE this series and I think all high school aged kid's and adult's (with a twisted sense of humor) would enjoy reading this, simply because it's blow your Muffin' Fluffin' face off AWESOME!!
We continue along with Gert becoming the Queen of Fairyland and as always everything goes down the drain for her. She is constantly finding herself self destructing the world around her. We get a peek into the future, more pop culture references, and some laughs, however I don't think this one was a good as the first volume. Definitely a set of builder stories and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I just started to get into "I Hate Fairyland". Just love the crude humor! It's not for the faint at heart, you just got to love this stuff. Wish there were more volumes at this time, but I guess we have to wait to see how the story evolves. Not a bad price for this type of reading material. I will be a collector. Shipping was fast.
Again, this was another funny and wacky trip down to Fairyland. The spunky Gertrude is still a mighty force to be reckoned with, if you are able to survive an encounter with her. I love this series & I am really looking forward to reading the next one!!!
I loved this series! Super hilarious. I bought this book for myself since i loved the first volume 1. My 6 year old loved it even tho its not supposed to be for him as well!
This was just as great and twisted as the 1st one. In this volume, Gertrude becomes Queen of Fairyland. Let's just say that this doesn't go well for anyone!
What can I say? Scottie Young is hilarious! His crude humor and gorey artwork keeps you reading. I had to pre-order this once I saw that he was offering a volume 2. Definitely not for kids though! I hope he makes Volume 3!
This is one of my fav graphic novels/comic book. Absolutely love the story, humor and omg the art is amazing! Definitely recommend it (for adults only)
