This is one of the easiest to understand books on enneagram that I have ever come across. Previously, I had been struggling to figure out my type and wing and was torn between several. I have a firm grasp of mbti and have been studying it for years but enneagram had always confused me. After much internet searching, more confusion, and searching other books, I finally came across this one. The illustrations made me smile and the outlay of each chapter was so easy to read and to understand. It reads like an activity book rather than a novel, and is well written even for a non enthusiastic reader. I was easily able to pinpoint my type after reading this book and find myself able to explain enneagram much better now. Note: it is simply a beginner's guide and does not delve into sx, so, and sp tritypes.I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a beginner's understanding of enneagram.

A friend recommended this book. I would never have bought it - "It has cartoons so it will be silly and elementary!" Boy was I wrong. I own probably 20 books on the enneagram and this is absolutely the best and most useful one. I recommend it to everyone.

I love this book mostly due to all of the cartoons. It helps make the different types relatable. You can look at a lot of the drawings and see yourself in your type or your wing. It breaks down each of the nine types in a way that makes it easy to understand. As a 5 I want to understand everything I can. This book is a great toe in the water to understanding the different types. It is not as in-depth as some of the more popular enneagram books but it inserts a funny quality that the other books lack. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the enneagram or anyone who enjoys "typing" themselves with online quizzes or Myers Briggs. It's a fun and quick book that is fun to share with others while you compare personality types.

This delightful little gem explains the Enneagram so even children can understand it. Humor and animation add to the fun of this book. It's an easy read and a good, basic introduction to those who want a lighter, cliff note to the Enneagram....

This book explains a very complex subject in a very simple way without insulting your intelligence. My family enjoyed getting into the act as well. It provided a good basis for us to get a cursory understanding of different personalities and the way they react to situations differently. If you enjoy this book, the Enneagram Institute website provides more in-depth ways to explore personality types.

This is a really great introduction to the enneagram, breaking everything down with old comic style pictures. To be honest, I feel like the art could've been so much better, but i understand it was stylized the way it was on purpose. My original intent was to use the enneagram as a writer's tool for character development in my novel, but after reading and figuring out my own type (4 - the individualist/romantic), i've looked more into this in detail and have begun to use it for self betterment.I'd suggest "The Wisdom of the Enneagram: The Complete Guide to Psychological and Spiritual Growth for the Nine Personality Types" by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson for further reading.

If you are interested in learning about the enneagram then this book is a wonderful introduction. there are good explanations of the 9 types. there is relevant information to figure out which type you are. There are helpful comics. I have really enjoyed going through this book and learning about the 9 enneagram types.

The authors set out to make the enneagram identification accessible to all of us and have created a process for that. They have great illustrations, much detail about each type and ways we might be influenced about other types around the circle. I found it easier to picture where I might fit in, although I do think this is a growing process. This could be a good book in a library of books about enneagrams. I wouldn't have it be a stand alone for me as I am interested in the spiritual components, such as Fr Richard Rohr explores. I do like the additional Meiers Briggs and four temperaments are added.
