I found that this map had incorrect and missing information. Some highways were named with the incorrect numbers. Some new highways were missing. Tourist attractions (i.e. traps) were marked with a star. Since the Chinese languages have no direct equivalents with Roman letters, the english spelling of names may not be written the same by every author. People try to approximate the sound of the names with letters, but it seems everybody interprets a little differently. Google maps was accurate, but in order to find place names you need to find the Chinese character spellings. For a 9-day drive around the entire island, including side trips, I drove 2,000 km. I could have probably just used some free maps to get a big overview and then used online navigation to pinpoint destinations. Taiwan is a Civil Engineering paradise. They are building roads, bridges and tunnels everywhere. Online maps are probably a better way to stay on top of the many changes going on in Taiwan.
I liked everything about it. My only quibble was it was printed and laminated with the top half on the front and the bottom half on the back. It would be more usable if the whole island group was on one side.
This map is out of date for spelling for almost 40% of cities. Difficult to interpolate current spellings from tours books (Lonely Planet) to this map. Also some road markings and codes are out of date and do not match physical signs. Used Jan- Feb 2017 in Taiwan.
